As you may be aware, Tom and Christy Pike are soon leaving our shores for the faraway place of Hong Kong, a land untouched by modern speedway.

In the next phase of their lives, Tom and Christy will be forgoing much of life's luxuries, one of those being the joy of watching small little cars race round and round a dirt track.

To be held in the next best thing to the Colosseum: Parramatta City Raceway.

Highlights of the night will be:

• Round 4 of the Sprintcar Track Championship
• AMCA Nationals
• Junior Sedans
• Breathing in a mixture of petrol fumes and Dagwood Dogs

Like all pilgramages of times past, the meeting point will be 10 Turramurra Avenue, Turramurra. From there we will organise car pooling.

Come if you like speedway, come if you don't, come if you know Tom and Christy, come if you don't - it will be a truly great night and one for Tom and Christy to remember before sprintcars, over-priced meat pies and watching paramedics pull asbent-minded drivers out of car wrecks becomes a distant memory of their past.
